Why We Made This

We're musicians who got tired of the guesswork involved in finding a good rehearsal space in LA. Every band we knew had horror stories: rooms with broken amps, surprise fees, cancellations with no notice, or spaces that looked great on Instagram but sounded terrible in person. We started this guide to save other musicians the same frustration.

RehearsalSpaceLosAngeles.com is an independent resource. We visit every space we review, book real sessions (at our own expense), and evaluate the experience as working musicians, not as marketers. Our reviews reflect what you'll actually encounter when you walk through the door with your gear.

Our Methodology

We evaluate each rehearsal space on five weighted criteria:

• Equipment Quality (25%) — Condition and caliber of backline, PA systems, monitors, and acoustic treatment
• Value for Money (25%) — Total cost relative to what you get, including hidden fees, deposits, and cancellation policies
• Access & Flexibility (20%) — Operating hours, booking ease, availability, and whether you can get a room when you need one
• Room Quality (15%) — Sound treatment, room size, climate control, and overall condition of the facility
• Overall Experience (15%) — Staff helpfulness, community vibe, amenities, and the intangible feeling of whether the space inspires good music

Updates

We revisit and update our reviews at least twice per year, and we adjust rankings whenever a space makes significant changes to their offerings, pricing, or facilities. The "Last updated" date on each page reflects our most recent review.
